04/30/2004 Entry: "Help me out, here."

As you can tell, I've upgraded Greymatter. There are a lot more features, but I'm not sure which ones to implement. So I'm asking my readers to let me know.

I can provide emoticons for the comments. Would you use them? Think they're stupid? Should I bother?

Lemme know....

With the exception of a vary rare :) , I don't use them. As long as there aren't many of them available (and they don't blink or move!), I would not object to basic emoticons. But I wouldn't use them.

Kate

ps - thanks for the breadcrumb trail!

i dont really care about emoticons either way. unless you have some that are either making obscene gestures, or brandishing weapons, i probobly wont use them.
what other features are available?
something that remembers my info so i dont have to type it constantly would be cool (although i dont generally like cookies)
or, making the comments open in a new window would be good too, although thats just lazyness on my part...

I'm not a big fan of emoticons, I hardly ever use them but someone might.

I like the media/ mood feature, that's pretty cool.

Things do look pretty good!

I don't care too much one way or another about making them available -heck why not - though they jumped the shark long ago, and should be used sparingly by those wishing to hold up their hipness quotient

(note use of "g" in angle brackets...)

Like the Media bit, can pass on the Mood. What other shiny new features ARE there?

Posted by TheSquire @ 04/30/2004 07:36 PM NY

Actually, Mood gives us an insight into the esteemed editor's mind. I kinda like it, as long as he doesn't go all melodramatic with it. ;)

Media, well, I guess I need a program or something. For example, what's the difference between "CNN(ick)" and "CNN" ?

Posted by Rat @ 04/30/2004 07:39 PM NY

Ah, I think I have it figured out. It's whatever news media he's listening/watching at the moment, and his reaction to same.

Rat,

I figured the one 'ick' covered it for all mentions of CNN.

I can see that ;)
