Gotta love this, Part 2

Frank Lautenberg also rawks, although Pelosi is better-looking.

Tossing a verbal egg at Dick Cheney's military record, Sen. Frank Lautenberg blasted the vice president Wednesday as the "lead chickenhawk," who squawks about John Kerry's Vietnam War record despite never serving himself.

"The chickenhawk has no idea what it means to have the courage to put your life at risk to defend this nation," Lautenberg said on the Senate floor. "But they are quick to disparage those who did sacrifice."

In his speech, Lautenberg, D-N.J., defined chickenhawk "as having the shriek of a hawk but the backbone of a chicken."

"We know who the chickenhawks are," he said. "They talk tough on national defense and military issues and cast aspersions on others, but when it was their turn to serve, they were AWOL from courage."

Via Hoffmania! Thx, Hoff.

OH, so a United States senator raising an important point about the morality and ethics of a sitting (officially vice) president, one who has by sheer force of "will" dragged us into a war of choice not necessity--is "Tossing a verbal egg"???

WTF, did they decide that phrasing it as "tossing a verbal banana cream pie" would be just a little TOO heavy on the ha-ha, ho-ho, look at the old boy rant there jocularity?

Senators used to beat each other half to death with sticks for making remarks not NEARLY as provocative as this one. *Ptooey* on cbs, as if they needed any more spittle from me.
