Ft. Detrick Lecture to Discuss Amputee Issues:

Col. Billie Mielcarek, chief of Physical Therapy at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, presents a lecture on rehabilitation of injured Soldiers returning from Iraq May 13 at 1 p.m. at the Community Activities Center.

...Many of the prosthetists had limited experience dealing with amputees, but now we might have 20 or more amputee patients we are working with at a time," Mielcarek said.
