An Oldie, But A.... Well, An Oldie.

Since Condi and Big Boy took away 'George's 'Islamic Fascist' playtoy, they let him take one of his old toys out of the box.

President George W. Bush charged on Thursday that Democrats would raise taxes if put in control of the U.S. Congress, turning to a familiar campaign theme as he seeks to stave off Republican losses in November.

"If they get control of the House of Representatives, they'll raise your taxes. It'll hurt our economy. And that's why we're not going to let them get control of the House of Representatives," Bush said.

A couple of points...

First off, where the fuck did this come from? Are Bush and and the guy with the hand up his ass moving his mouth that scared of running on what was supposed to be their winning hand this year - their command of keeping us safe?

Second - Bush has a fuckload of nerve talking about 'hurting the economy.' This from the guy who squandered Clinton's surplus and then spent $325 billion on a war that nobody loves any more but him.

And third - Not raising taxes may be one reason that Bush doesn't want Democrats re-capturing the House this year, but it's not the reason why. I'm sure the prospect of Democratic subpoena power and the specter of impeachment hearings concerns him quite a bit more than taxes. [tag:Failed President] [tag:Politics]
