That's what I've been sayin' over here.....

I posted this back in February. Nobody has to acquaint Barack Obama with the Chicago Way.

Senator Barack Obama was fund-raising Friday night in Philadelphia. But he was talking about “the Chicago way.”

Channeling the mob drama, “The Untouchables,” Mr. Obama said in reference to the general election rumble with the Republicans: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”

“Why is Barack Obama so negative?” said Alex Conant, a spokesman for the Republican National Committee, calling the line a “hyperbolic attack.”

I think what Alex Conant meant to say was 'Why is Barack Obama fighting back against our smears? Why is he responding effectively to every bit of negative campaigning that we throw at him?'

It's pretty obvious at this point that the GOP has no idea how to respond to a politician who's not afraid of them. they've been running against pushovers for so long, they have zero clue how to run against a non-pushover.

And to any of Obama's detractors who decry Barack's hardball tactics - maybe you should go sit on the fainting couch for a while. I've been waiting for a Democrat like this to come along for the past eight years, and I'm enjoying watching him confuse and confound McCain and his apologists.
