It's worth remembering these assholes are still around
Down here in Florida, even this gets noticed:
Seventh-grade social studies teacher Greg Howard reportedly wrote the word CHANGE as an acronym on the board and wrote an expletive with the letter 'N.'Well, evidently this happened in a town near the Alabama border, so I guess I can put it on them. (I keed, I keed....there's plenty of assholes around here that would say the same things, as they do in the comments section to the above story.)The phrase he wrote has alternately be reported as "Can You Help A (expletive) Get Elected" and "Come Help A (expletive) Get Elected."
My only point is that such assholery is still plenty evident, even though there are those out there that want to pretend otherwise. And that's what makes Obama's recent surge to the front of the polls in Florida a rather amazing thing, something I didn't think could happen.
And I hope that sticks in the craw of a (former, I guess) poster to this site whose website is still in our "preferred" list and regularly cries that Obama cries "racist!" too much (not that he ever really has). Hell, I don't contribute enough to say who belongs on that list, but a recent visit to her site made me puke. She laments that McCain isn't being more (!) negative on Obama and insists that the lefty blogosphere's hitting on Palin's qualifications is just an echo of their sexist (!) attack on Hillary (a charge that conveniently ignores the horrible missteps that campaign made in the early going). I find both arguments incredibly shallow, but there ya go! (Sorry, I had to throw in some Sarah Palin homespun regular dude talk there.)
Anyhow, so Stranger, if you want to torch this post for ragging on another contributer (although I'm only an occasional one), please do so with my blessing. But that MTA website is an utter cesspool to me and deserves to be labeled as such.
