Dick Armey, Pig

I'm surprised nothing is up on the blogs yet about this exchange, but on Chris Matthews' show tonight Dick Armey and Salon's Joan Walsh were talking about the Republican opposition to the stimulus package. Well, Armey was talking, as much as possible, and making the nonsensical argument that everything right now is just talk and politics is inherently silly. Which of course makes him a silly, silly excuse for a man.

But Joan Walsh attempted to make several substantive points, only to get told repeatedly by Armey, "oh, give it a rest." As if the current economy is just a bad belch in an otherwise wonderful operatic performance. But Walsh said what needed to be said: "Could you stop telling me to 'give it a rest'? Do you have anything else to say?" To which the ever so gallant Dick Armey replied, "I'm just glad there's no chance you'll ever be my wife."

Walsh was genuinely stunned at such troglodyte behavior and managed to say something to the effect that the sentiment goes both ways. And Tweety sat there like an idiot. Please, Jesus, let there be a spot in the universe where I can meet Dick Armey and give him a re-education with a steel-toed boot. I'm soooo very tired of asshats like this getting their grinning mugs on teevee without having their clocks cleaned, say, every minute for the rest of their pathetic, narrow-minded lives.

The Republican party at its finest--represented by a washed up joker that's trying to hide the fact that he can't imagine a woman making a valid point. I think it's because he's too worried about the incredibly tiny size of his...well, that would be as juvenile to say as his own comments. Dick, as a human being, you fail.
