04/30/2004 Entry: "One down, 49 to go...."

After Kolly-fohr-nya, I say Ohio should be next. After all, Diebold CEO Wally O'Dell personally pledged to deliver the state to Bush in November.

California set tough new standards for electronic voting on Friday, barring a third of existing machines from November's ballot and ordering new security measures before thousands of others already purchased can be used.

California Secretary of State Kevin Shelley also called for a criminal investigation into the state's largest e-voting machine supplier, Diebold, a firm he called "reprehensible."

Democrat Shelley said that he would decertify Ohio-based Diebold Inc.'s AcuVote-TSx Voting System, which accounts for a third of all of California's electronic voting machines following glitches in the March ballot.

"I'm asking the attorney general to pursue criminal and civil actions against Diebold in this matter, based on finding of fraudulent action," he said.

"They broke the law," Shelley continued. "Their conduct was absolutely reprehensible."

"We will not tolerate deceitful tactics engaged in by Diebold and we must send a clear and compelling message to the rest of the industry: Don't try to pull a fast one on the voters of California because there will be consequences."

yeah, ohio would be a good state to start with. im from there originally, and its republican enough without cheating. actually im from the democratic part of ohio (also known as the poor part) down on the southeast corner, so as a kid i never knew what they meant when they called ohio a republican state, i sure didnt know any republicans... either way, its too bad they didnt decertify them before they state wasted all that money, ohio's school system is on the verge of collapse, and was ruled unconstitutional by the state supreem court. hell, the library in my home town almost closed down last year so the state could pay for all of those orange alerts for the Fatherland Security Department.
beleive me, illiterate children with guns (you wouldnt believe how many guns are in ohio) are a lot more dangerous than terrorists...

You Moronic Democrats:

We are dissappointed by the California decision. If you try to get Ohio to remove our machines, I will look bad, so please refrain from starting a letter campaign to the Ohio Secretary of State. Remember, I need to deliver Ohio to Bush.

your pal,
Wally
