05/03/2004 Entry: "Enough of this crap."
I just turned CNN of, and here's why.
I'm wondering why a goddam truck driver for Halliburton who was unfortunate enough to get captured in Iraq and lucky enough to get out alive is getting ready for - according to CNN - 'a hero's welcome.'
What in the world makes this guy a hero? Has the standard for heroism been expanded to include truck drivers who get captured, or is CNN just inaccurate and lazy in its description of this guy?
Tell ya what - I got out of bed this morning, despite the fact that I didn't want to and it was raining outside. Does that make me a hero?

I noticed that also. Meanwhile we have a marine being held hostage, and ho has dropped off the scope. These guy's working for cheney's co., are making alot more than the military personnel, and they make him a hero. I got his hero hanging. I say screw him, and let's get these military people out. Let the cheney group take care of it, since they seem to be the only one's the wh is worried about. Cheney is so upset about the 4 civilians that died, and were burned. It is sad, but why does'nt he show the same compassion for the soldiers that are being maimed, and killed, and stop trying to hide the dover garbage. Those men & women deserve to have people know. That is just my thought. Thank you.

I guess I'm not a hero because I overslept and called in (well, emailed in) "sick".
I wrote a little about the WWII Memorial. those guys were heroes for the most part (except for Reagan who spent the war in Hollywood making training films). the NYFD/PD were/are heroes. I can give dozens of examples, including my dad. this fat sack of opportunistic Halliburton shit is no hero.
